Essential Duties:
- Be reliable, work independently, and manage all aspects of your assigned wholesale delivery routes.
- This is a physically demanding job that includes regular lifting, stacking, lowering, squatting, hauling loads with dolly, and transitions loads from truck to receiving doors and loading docks.
- Ability to lift 70 pounds, and push/pull dolly weight of 170 pounds.
- Schedule includes working until the routes are completed and may include some overtime when required.
- Ensure all customer service needs are professionally met by engaging with customers at every delivery.
- Manage customer product levels.
- Properly utilize iPad to check daily loads in/ out; manage customer lists and PARs; schedule and set up daily loads and load types; conduct transactions with customers.
- Conduct written inventory of your truck before departing on your daily route and upon returning each day.
- Maintain Driver Route Book and update daily route sheets as necessary.
- Maintain and account for all equipment such as iPad, Printer, dolly, date gun, load straps.
- Clean the interior of the truck cab once per week and as needed.
- Complete regular Truck safety checks as required and basic truck maintenance every week, and attend quarterly safety meetings as scheduled.
- Notify supervisor of any problems with your truck, route, customers, loads, etc.
- Operate your truck safely and follow all traffic laws and regulations.
- You must be able to notify supervisor a minimum of 3 hours in advance if you are unable to work a scheduled day.
