On the Farm
Here at Morning Fresh Dairy, we use glass bottles. We do this, not only because it tastes better, but it’s also more sustainable. On the farm, we wash and reuse our bottles an unlimited number of times! Our dairy dishwasher ensures our bottles are clean, sanitized, and ready to be used again. Reusing bottles prevents thousands of plastic milk jugs from going into the landfill every month. You can check out the process for yourself on our Farm Tours.
In Your Home
What we do at the farm is only half of the process. We need your help to bring our bottles back! All it takes is a simple rinse and return to support our eco-friendly mission. Whether you’re milk is delivered to your home or purchased from a store, you can always bring the bottles back. Not sure where to do this? Read on to learn more!
Home Delivery
Any time you receive a bottle on Home Delivery, you can simply put it back in your milk box, and our delivery driver will pick it up the next time they stop by. Don’t forget to rinse your bottle out before leaving it in your box!

Local Shops
Morning Fresh Dairy sells our milk in stores all along the Front Range from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs. Find your nearest store here! You can also purchase milk from our cafe, The Howling Cow, or our Seasonal Farmers’ Markets. Any bottles that you purchase in store can always be returned to that same location. All of our partners participate in our Rinse and Return program and will make sure your bottle gets back to the farm.
Bottle Deposits
Whenever you purchase a glass bottle from the store, you’ll be charged a returnable $2.50 bottle deposit fee. This is our way to encourage folks to bring our bottles back. To get cash back for your bottle deposit, we ask that you bring the bottle back to the same location where you purchased it. Different stores have different ways of tracking this, including receipts or other “proofs of purchase”.
At our Farmers’ Markets and The Howling Cow Cafe, we use a bottle deposit token. This token works like a receipt. If you bring a Morning Fresh bottle and a token back, we will give you $2.50 back in cash. If you don’t have a token, we can always exchange bottles and discount the price of the bottle deposit from that purchase.
Spare Bottles
Not sure where your bottles came from? No worries! We will always take bottles back. Ask a neighbor on Home Delivery to return them in their box, bring them on your next visit to the Howling Cow Cafe, or stop by our booth at the Farmers’ Market.
