Why Donate Milk?
Although milk is a highly requested item, on average, people served by food banks receive less than 1 gallon of milk per person each year. While Americans are generous with canned and dry goods, fresh milk is much harder to donate because it’s perishable. This makes it difficult for food banks to meet the demand.
To help meet some of this need, Morning Fresh Dairy started our Milk Drive program in 2018! With this program, donating to your food bank is as easy as ordering fresh milk to your doorstep when you sign up for Home Delivery. Simply add one of our donation options to your order, and we’ll take care of the rest! 100% of donations go directly to our partners, including Larimer County Food Bank and Weld County Food Bank.
Milk can be donated by the 1/2 gallon or gallon. Morning Fresh Dairy will match every milk donation- doubling the amount of milk going to the food banks!
In addition to milk, we also offer donation bundles that include milk and a monetary donation for providing meals. Financial donations are a great way to support food banks since they can provide meals for less than $5 each! Milk & Meal Bundles can be donated in increments of $10, $25, and $50 on Home Delivery.
In 2018, when our Milk Drive first launched, we were able to donate 2,384 gallons of milk. In the years since then, our program has continued to grow. In 2024, our cow-munity donated 7,261 gallons, which was doubled by Morning Fresh for 14,522 gallons of milk donated in a single year!
